The world is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day this year, which will take place on April 22. Unable to get together to celebrate outside, NASA offers a whole program to highlight the event in the comfort of our own home.
Most of the events that were to take place to mark the 50th Earth Day have been canceled. Never mind: some organizations have rolled up their sleeves to allow the population confined to the house to celebrate without contravening the recommendations for social separation.
This is the case of NASA, which designed a web portal dedicated to the event. Throughout the month of April, the agency offers podcasts, activities and conferences on a host of themes related to nature and the environment. Family-friendly scientific activities will also be offered.
In Quebec too!
Quebec is not to be outdone. Even though gatherings and outdoor activities are also canceled there, the Earth Day website offers some ideas for activities to do alone or with family. Why not get started, for example, in the production of homemade household products or set up a small garden on your balcony?
