Tofino District, Vancouver Island, asks to keep their dog on a leash, and indoors at night, after a dog has possibly been killed by one or more wolves.
The attack occurred Saturday morning at Chesterman Beach, according to Bob Hansen, a local WildSafeBC official. He says he was a medium-sized dog, walking around without his owner.
“[I] can not confirm if it’s about several wolves, but the tracks are a wolf’s,” said Hansen.
Chesterman Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Tofino.
