Christine Elliott, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, and Jeff Yurek, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks today released the following update on Ontario Parks activities in response to developments related to COVID-19:
“As COVID-19 continues to evolve rapidly, we want to ensure the safety of the public and the well-being of our visitors and staff in Ontario’s provincial parks. In order to support the province in its efforts to keep the people of Ontario safe during the current present, all provincial parks will be closed to the public from March 19, 2020 to April 30, 2020. This includes motorized camping, backcountry camping , roofed accommodation, daily activities and all public buildings.

Current visitors to provincial parks must leave by March 19, 2020. Any person or group having a reservation with an arrival date prior to April 30, 2020 will be automatically reimbursed in full without penalty.
