Grand Canyon National Park closed because of coronavirus Covid-19 The National Park Service (NPS) has announced the full closure of Grand Canyon National Park until further notice. “The National Park Service (NPS) received a letter today from the Health and Human Services Director and Chief Health Officer for Coconino County recommending the full closure of Grand Canyon National Park,” a post published on the official NPS website explains. Effectively immediately all visitor facilities, trails, and roads including Highway 64 are closed until further notice. These closures will be in effect 24-hours a day/7-days a week.
