Three injured including a child in an explosion at a campground near Perth, Ontario

According to the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), a propane tank buried near a campfire is said to have exploded.

In particular, the child was transported to the hospital by helicopter to treat “serious burns”. The other two victims, also severely burned, were hospitalized.

Emergency services arrived at approximately 10:30 p.m. at a campground located on Christie Lake North Road.

An investigation was opened to clarify the circumstances of the explosion.
